If you run a business that supplies to horsey people, you might be interested in sponsoring our Badminton Trail Ride.
What is the Badminton Trail Ride?
The event allows just 50 riders to take a 10 mile trail around the beautiful Badminton Estate, a couple of days after the world famous Horse Trials. That means lots of the jumps, tents and stands are still in situ. Happy hackers can get up close and personal to some of the most challenging cross country obstacles on earth, and ride on the totally iconic landscape. And as there are so few of them, they really feel like the own the place, just for one day!
What’s in it for you?
It’s an event that lights up social media (and our phones) when it goes on sale. Last year, we had organic reach of 140,000 on Facebook, got national press coverage, online and in print including in Your Horse Magazine (which has 48,000 Twitter followers).
Last year, the event raised almost £10,000 towards our work improving lives for disabled people through riding, so you get the warm glow of helping a fantastic charity too.
What’s involved?
We have 3 specific ways you can sponsor the ride:
1. Donating the star prize – Last year, we gave prizes worth £400 to our top fundraisers, including rugs and vouchers. Could you donate something that a horse owner would really value?
2. Goody bags – we aim to give every rider a goody bag with useful stuff, samples etc. inside. Could you supply these? Or just 50 samples or freebies for us to add?
3. Fundraising pack sponsorship – this year, we’d like to make a fundraising pack to send to each of our riders, with helpful hints, stickers, bunting and other resources inside. Could you sponsor the cost of making and sending these?
What do I do next?
Contact fundraising@avonridingcentre.org.uk to tell us how you’d like to support the event.
If you would like to donate a prize, please let us know the approximate value of the prize, and how the winner will claim it, plus any publicity terms and conditions. If you are donating vouchers, please bear in mind that they will not be presented until June 2019 and need to have “use by” dates on them that reflect this.
We look forward to hearing from you!
