Welcome Back!
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves over the festive period and are looking forward – as we are – to another exciting year at the Centre.
New staff:
We’re pleased to welcome Charmaine Lane as Stable Manager. She’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the yard and horses. Please introduce yourself when you’re on site if you see her around. Bristol Horse Riding customers should hear from her in the next few weeks.
Yeb de Jong continues to work as Chief Instructor.
Weekday ARENA volunteers needed!
We are desperate for arena volunteers on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school day. If you are already volunteering with us and can lend a hand for the next few weeks on those days, please let us know. In addition, we are generally looking for more people to help out with some of our lessons, so please get in touch with Yvette to find out where the gaps are!
Events in January
Moorland Multi-Terrain race – Sunday 29th January
This is a fab day for all the family, with a challenging all-terrain 10K race for the grownups, and children’s races for all ages. Details are here and all the proceeds go to the Avon Riding Centre and it usually raises around £2000. We need around 10 volunteers to act as stewards, serve drinks etc. Please get in touch with Louise in the office to get your name on the list.
Quiz Night – Friday 27th January
If you prefer your entertainment rather warmer and dryer, come to the Quiz Night. At Westbury-on-Trym village Hall from 7.15pm, with quizzing starting at 8pm sharp. Just a fiver to enter, bring a team and scoop up the prizes (or come on your own and we’ll find a very clever team for you to join!)

BHS Stage 2 Course
This starts on January 30th. You can find details on the Bristol Horse Riding website. It’s open to anyone who has completed the BHS 1 course. If you would like to do a BHS 1 course, we are starting a waiting list. If you’d like to be on it, let Claire in the office know.
RDA Dressage
